We are excited to give a radio home to Grammy award-winning Rapper Yung Joc from Atlanta, Georgia. In the mid-2000s, while Yung Joc was playing at a Celebrity Basketball game, he told me that he always wanted to have a radio show. I was excited when his show launched in 2016 and then became nationally syndicated in April 2020.

Yung Joc formed his own company, Mastermind, to release his own music. He later hooked up with Russell “Block’ Spencer and released the hard club track “It’s Goin’ Down” in early 2006. Everyone would chant at the top of their lungs in the club, “Meet me in the trap, it's goin' down. Meet me in the mall, it's goin' down. Meet me in the club, it's goin' down. Anywhere ya meet me guaranteed to go down.”

The success of “It’s Goin’ Down” gained the interest of Sean “Diddy” Combs. This lead to a multi-million dollar deal with Bad Boy was inked, and Joc’s full-length debut, “New Joc City,” became one of the first releases. A year later, the “Coffee Shop” single preceded the full-length Hustlenomics.

In addition, Yung Joc has had a successful run with television too. Yung Joc became a featured cast member on the wildly successful “LOVE & HIP HOP ATLANTA” franchise.

You can listen to Yung Joc and the Streetz Morning Takeover, Monday – Friday from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. and on Saturday mornings from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.
