4 Things You Need to Know About Additional Security Screenings at Bryant-Denny Stadium This Weekend

The University of Alabama welcomes United States President Donald Trump to Bryant-Denny for Saturday's football game against the LSU Tigers, and with the Commander-in-Chief in attendance, extra security measures will be in place. Here's what you need to know about screenings at Bryant-Denny this weekend:

1. Arrive early. Stadium gates at Bryant-Denny will open at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, allowing fans ample time to pass through security gates. The University urges everyone who plans to attend the game to be in line at the stadium no later than 1 p.m.

2. Prepare for a more thorough security screening. Fans should anticipate a security screening similar to an airport TSA checkpoint. You will be asked to remove all items from your pockets and any pinned-on buttons before passing through the security screening.

3. You will NOT be able to take empty cups in the stadium. Fans are typically allowed to bring these items into Bryant-Denny, but doing so is prohibited this weekend.

4. Any item deemed to be a security hazard will not be permitted in the stadium. The list below, posted by the University of Alabama, includes but is not limited to:

Aerosols
Ammunition
Animals other than service/guide animals
Artificial noisemakers (bells, horns, whistles, cow bells, etc.)
Cameras with telephoto lenses over 6" long
Chair backs larger than a single seat (16" wide) or with zippers, pockets or compartments
Clear bags over 12" x 6" x 12
Non-clear bags over 4 ½" x 6 ½"
Computers
Coolers
Drones and other unmanned aircraft systems
Firearms
Glass, thermal or metal containers
Gun Parts, holsters, magazines, etc.
Knives
Laser pointers
Mace/pepper spray
Selfie sticks
Signs
Strollers
Supports for signs and placards
