7-Hour No-Fly Zone Set for Tuscaloosa Airport Saturday
A temporary flight restriction will be in place at the Tuscaloosa National Airport this Saturday for a nearly seven-hour period as a security measure for the expected arrival and departure of President Donald Trump, who is expect to attend Alabama's matchup with the LSU Tigers in Bryant-Denny Stadium.
The Federal Aviation Administration has filed a Notice to Airmen saying that no pilots may operate within 10-miles of the airport from 1:15 Saturday afternoon until 8 p.m. that night, with a few exceptions for ambulance flights, approved law enforcement flights and aircraft directly supporting the United States Secret Service.
Anyone flying into or out of the Tuscaloosa National Airport should make plans around this restriction and arrive before the no-fly zone is implemented and expect to stay grounded until after it is lifted.
