Analyst and former Alabama defensive back Nick Perry is headed to the Atlanta Falcons to become an assistant defensive backs coach, the organization announced earlier this morning.

Perry joins eight other Alabama coaches and assistants leaving this offseason, including big names like offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian, tight ends and special teams coach Jeff Banks, and offensive line coach Kyle Flood.

Perry joined the Crimson Tide as a graduate assistant in 2017 and stayed with the team until this year in his analyst role. He played a role in designing weekly gameplans for the last few seasons, including Alabama’s 2017 and 2020 national championship teams.

During his five seasons at Alabama (2010-2014), Perry earned two rings on the 2011 and 2012 championship teams in a backup role. As a redshirt senior in 2014, Perry started in 13 of Alabama’s games including the 2014 SEC championship win. He recorded 119 total tackles and two interceptions during his Alabama career.

After college, Perry was an undrafted free agent and signed with the Baltimore Ravens. In 2016 he spent some time with the Philadelphia Eagles before returning to Alabama to begin preparation for a coaching career.
