SEC Media Days 2021 was held this past week in Hoover, Al., bringing college football's most prestigious conference under one roof at the Hyatt Regency Wynfrey Hotel. The media members present voted on who might win the SEC and which players would standout. The Crimson Tide led all SEC teams with 16 selections on the various teams.

Alabama had eight members of the 2021 football team named to the Preseason All-SEC First Team. Wide receiver John Metchie III and offensive tackle Evan Neal represented the Alabama offense while  defensive lineman Phidarian Mathis, linebackers Will Anderson Jr., Christian Harris and Henry To'o To'o and defensive backs Josh Jobe and Malachi Moore represented the defense.

The Tide put five players of the 2021 Preseason All-SEC Second Team. Tight end Jahleel Billingsley and offensive lineman Emil Ekiyor Jr. made the team for the Alabama offense while defensive lineman LaBryan Ray and defensive back Jordan Battle represented the defense. Alabama also placed kicker Will Reichard on the Preseason All-SEC Second Team.

Three members of Alabama's 2021 roster were named to the Preseason All-SEC Third team. Senior running back Brian Robinson Jr. represented the offense while defensive lineman DJ Dale and linebacker Christopher Allen earned places for the Tide defense.

Along with the All-SEC selections the conference writers selected the Alabama Crimson Tide to with the SEC West and to win the SEC Championship. The Tide was picked ahead of Texas A&M in the SEC West and was pick ahead of the Georgia Bulldogs to win the entire conference.

Alabama boasts 28 Southeastern Conference Championships in program history including winning five of the last seven conference titles. The Tide opens its 2021 campaign against the Miami Hurricanes on Sept. 4 at 2:30 p.m. CT on ABC. The game will also be available to listen to on Tide 100.9.
