The Alabama Crimson Tide just signed one of the top recruiting classes in the country but the Tide isn't done adding talent.

Former Georgia Tech Yellow Jacket running back Jahmyr Gibbs announced on his Twitter account that he would be transferring to Tuscaloosa to play for the Crimson Tide.

Gibbs, from Dalton, Georgia, was considered a 4-star prospect in the class of 2020. According to 247 Sports Gibbs was rated the No. 10 recruit in the state of Georgia and the No. 8 overall running back in the class.

In two seasons playing for the Yellow Jackets, Gibbs has taken 232 carries for 1206 yards and eight touchdowns. Additionally he hauled in 59 receptions for 768 yards and five touchdowns

He earned First Team All-ACC in 2021 for his 1211 yards from scrimmage with six touchdowns.

Gibbs enters a crowded running back room in Tuscaloosa. Alabama will likely use Trey Sanders, Camar Wheaton, Roydell Williams and Jase McClellan in 2021 as well as incoming 5-star tailback Emmanuel Henderson.

The Georgia 6A Offensive Player of the Year in 2019 rushed for 2,554 yards as a senior in high school and was recruited by Florida, Georgia and Alabama however Gibbs wanted to honor the commitment he made to Georgia Tech after his junior year.
