The Alabama Crimson Tide fan base has a lot to be thankful for as the program has won six national championships during head coach Nick Saban's tenure.

The Tide is once again reminded to be thankful as 4-star running back Jamarion Miller announced on his social media that he would be decommitting from Texas and joining the Alabama 2022 recruiting class.

Miller, the No. 7 ranked running back in the class and No. 102 prospect in the nation had been committed to Texas since June of 2021.

With less than a month until Early Signing Day, it appears Saban has the edge now on his old assistants, Steve Sarkisian and Jeff Banks. Miller is the fifth player to decommit from the Texas 2022 class.

The addition keeps Alabama at the No. 2 overall 2022 recruiting class but the Tide continues to close the gap on Georgia for the top spot.

The Tyler, TX, product is Alabama's 20th member of the 2022 class and the Tide's second running back in the class, joining 5-star, Geneva County running back Emmanuel Henderson.

Miller is a 5-foot-10, 195 pound, tailback who reportedly ran the 100-meter dash in the spring at 10.71 according to 247Sports. He finished his career at Tyler Legacy as the school's all-time leading rusher with 4,688 yards. He also totaled 47 rushing touchdowns, 998 receiving yards and 14 receiving touchdowns during his career with the Red Raiders.

The Crimson Tide can thank Jay Valai and Robert Gillespie for securing Miller's commitment as they served as the lead recruiters for the Texas product.
