The NCAA allowed the return of in-person recruiting on June 1 and the Alabama Crimson Tide hit the ground running last week with camps and visits. The Tide is already bearing fruits from its in-person visits as Alabama received a commitment from 2022 running back Le'Veon Moss.

Moss is a 4-star prospect out of Istrouma Senior High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Moss is a 6-foot, 190 pound back and is currently ranked the No. 6 running back in the class and the No. 93 overall prospect in the 2022 recruiting class according to the 247Sports composite rankings.

Moss was recruited by Alabama defensive coordinator Pete Golding and running back's coach Robert Gillespie. He chose Alabama over offers from LSU, Georgia, Texas and several others.

Moss becomes the seventh commit in the 2022 class and is the second running back in the class, joining 5-star back Emmanuel Henderson. His addition bumps Alabama up to the No. 12 class nationally and the No. 6 class in the SEC.

His first year of varsity football in 2019, Moss rushed for 1,254 yards and 16 touchdowns and returned three kicks for touchdowns. Additionally, in his junior year, Moss rushed for 265 yards and five touchdowns to carry his team.

 

Alabama has had a busy week in the running back room with the departure of Keilan Robinson and Kyle Edwards by way of the transfer portal, Moss and Henderson's addition should help Alabama mitigate some losses on the numbers side of things along with incoming freshman 5-star Camar Wheaton.
