Five of the seven Crimson Tide prospects play for the American Team coached by the Carolina Panthers and a few of them saw their share of highs and lows in the first practice of Senior Bowl week.

Starting with Deonte Brown, not much was seen from Brown virtually (Because of the rain delay I wasn't in attendance, hopefully the weather agrees tomorrow and we can have tighter coverage.) Brown reportedly took some snaps at center. I did get eyes on him in some individual drills, but the highlight of his day remains weighing in at 364lbs at the measurements Tuesday morning.

As the week progresses we'll know more about Brown and how his stock has changed, if at all.

His teammate Alex Leatherwood did not appear to have a great day.  The lower body stiffness and his arm length let him down in one-on-one pass protection drills against Miami's Quincy Roche and UAB's Jordan Smith.

Again, it doesn't tell the full story, and certainly Leatherwood put in good reps Tuesday.

As a quarterback, more information was readily available on Mac Jones. Just like his draft stock, some thought he played well Tuesday afternoon while others saw some serious struggles. All told, Jones had a rollercoaster day in a mild mannered way.

At times, Jones was the same ole guy that zips in accurate passes to the open guy, other times his lack of arm strength and velocity got in his way.

Folks took the opportunity to take shots at Jones's lack of mobility as well.

The weather tomorrow is expected to clear up just before the National Team takes the field at Whitney Hancock Stadium at 11:30 a.m. So long as that's the case, we'll be in the stadium tomorrow and have a clearer idea of what the Crimson Tide prospects are showing in Mobile.
