Tuscaloosa County Gets Mauled by Hoover at Home
Friday night, the Hoover Buccaneers traveled to Northport, AL to take on the Tuscaloosa County Wildcats. From the start, County High struggled to get their offense going. They punted on their first three possessions before they were able to score. Their lone touchdown came on a 40 yard touchdown pass from junior quarterback Brax Garrison to senior wide receiver and defensive back C.J. McGee, with five minutes and 48 seconds remaining in the half.

In Friday night's matchup of AISA AAA Region 2 rivals, the Tuscaloosa Academy Knights hosted the Clarke Prep Gators. With heavy hearts, the Knights came out firing out on all cylinders.Fuller Goldsmith, a student at Tuscaloosa Academy, passed a few days before the game and memorialized by the Tuscaloosa Academy faithful before and after the game.

Saturday night against Miami in the 2021 Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game in Atlanta, GA for the first time ever, Alabama debuted its first ever all black starting offensive line. It was wildly speculated with the official depth chart coming out on Monday. For a offensive line who lost three starters from the year before they more than handled its own against Miami, making the way for an offense that produced 501 yards. Former Bama Back Ranks No. 4 on the NFL Top 100
Yesterday, Derrick Henry was named the #4 player in NFL on this year's Top 100 Players of 2021. This list was comprised of player rankings done by players from across the league so this shows how respected he is amongst his peers. This isn't Derrick's first in the top 10 as last year he finished at #10 in the poll.

We’re Now Lester Cotton Days Away From Alabama Football
We’re now 66 days away from Alabama kicking off it’s season against No. 19 Miami(FL) in the Chic-Fil-A Kickoff Game on September 4th. Let’s take a look back at the career of a local legend and Alabama football great who wore the number 66.As a freshman at Alabama , Lester helped block for eventual Heisman Trophy winner and the nation’s leading rusher for that season Derrick Henry in four games. That same season, Bama go on to win the SEC and National Championship. Throughout his career at Alabama, Cotton would play both left and right guard helping open up holes for running backs such as Najee Harris, fellow Raider Joshua Jacobs, and previously mentioned Derrick Henry. Bama also won a second national championship in 2017 with the help of Cotton.
2021 NBA Mock Draft: Post Lottery
On Tuesday night, the NBA had their annual draft lottery to determine the first 14 picks for the 2021 NBA Draft. This year's draft may not include a player from Alabama drafted with a lottery selection like last year with Kira Lewis going 13th overall. I do see a few Bama players being drafted later in the draft and have fits for them with lottery teams.
Three Bama Receivers Named Top 50 In The Last 50 Years
Last year's Heisman winner and new Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Devonta Smith landed on the list at No. 3 only behind Larry Fitzgerald and Randy Moss, two of college football's and NFL's greatest receivers. Connelly wrote that Smith had a "perfect career" at Bama winning a national title as a freshman, making one of the greatest plays in college football history and winning another as as senior along with winning the Heisman Trophy to cap off the arguably the greatest season by a Alabama player. Smith had 235 career catches, 3,965 receiving yards and 46 touchdowns.
