Boys & Girls Clubs Opens After-School Registration

Parents looking for a safe and enriching place for their children after school can now register for programs through the Boys & Girls Clubs of West Alabama.

Early bird registration is open for after-school programs in Tuscaloosa, Northport, Greensboro and Moundville. Programs are offered weekdays from 2:30 p.m. until 6 p.m.

Club members will have access to homework help, STEM activities, arts and crafts, recreation, leadership development, career readiness, mental health and wellness programs, gaming and mentorship opportunities.

Monthly fees vary by location. The Jaycee Park Club is $60 per month, Hasson is $50 and Greensboro is $40. Middle school students can attend for $35 per month, while the program is free for high school students.

A one-time annual registration fee of $25 is required, but families who register by July 15 will have that fee waived. Families can also save by paying for the semester upfront.

Organizers say the goal is to provide young people with a safe environment, caring mentors and opportunities to learn, grow and prepare for their futures.
