Alabama sophomore quarterback Bryce Young has been unstoppable through four games in his first season as Crimson Tide Starting quarterback. The 2021 Crimson Tide offense is averaging 46 points per game, only two fewer than last season's record setting, championship winning Alabama Crimson Tide.

Young has passed for 1,124 yards and 15 touchdowns with a 72% completion percentage through four games. In the Crimson Tide's most recent outing, a 63-14 Alabama victory over Southern Miss, Young completed 20-of-22 passes for 313 yards and five touchdowns, his lone interception came off his receivers fingertips in what could have been Young's sixth touchdown of the night.

The California-native credited his faith in God for his poise in the pocket and his calm, unflappable demeanor.

“I appreciate it but I’d say there’s a few factors. First honestly really I think it comes a lot from my faith. I feel like that’s really where I get my power from and I feel like really my job is just to glorify God out on the field and I know that everything is written and that I can kind of have faith and trust in that and that kind of allows me to maybe be a little looser — more locked in, really — but really not to stretch it as much," said Young on Monday.

The 5-star quarterback has shown a strong ability to feel the pressure in the pocket while keeping his eyes downfield and still finding receivers in the passing game.

This weekend Young will square off with Ole Miss quarterback Matt Corral in a battle of Heisman trophy favorites. Young and Corral are currently the top two players in Heisman odds. The Tide and Rebels will square off at 2:30 p.m. CT on Saturday, Oct. 2.
