Fowler asked Young about the pressure that faces Crimson Tide quarterbacks, and Young answered stoically, with a simple response, saying, "I think it's definitely something I understand and embrace. I think there's always pressure. I feel like theres been pressure on me my entire life, but its all relative."

Young continued, "Whether it's your parents, maybe the people on your team in high school or the city, it all feels relative. I don't think there's anything wrong with being able to embrace it and understand the realities of it, but I don't think it affects me or changes me in anyway. It's something I'm used to."

Continuing the interview, Fowler asked Young about the role his father, Craig, has played in his development as not only a player but as a person as well.

Young mentioned the impact, saying, "He's been there every step of the way. He's grown and learned all the stuff and done everything to impart me with the wisdom to handle these things," the quarterback continued, "I know throughout all of this, if theres anything I do need help with or can't handle, he'll always be the first person to be there."

Young and the Crimson Tide kick their season off against Utah State on September 3 at Bryant-Denny Stadium. While repeating as a Heisman Trophy winner is likely the last thing on the quarterback's mind, Week 1 presents an excellent opportunity to begin his campaign.
