Christ Episcopal Hosting Unique Worship Experience
A different kind of worship experience is returning to Tuscaloosa, offering a mix of music, community, and faith in a setting that breaks away from tradition.
Christ Episcopal Church is hosting its fifth free community-wide worship event on Wednesday, April 22 at 6 p.m. at The Venue. The event is designed to create a welcoming space for people of all backgrounds to come together in a relaxed and engaging atmosphere.
According to the press release, the service will feature live performances from The Locals along with music inspired by iconic artists including The Rolling Stones, Jackson Browne, Blind Faith, Bon Jovi, The Band, George Harrison, The Eagles, and The Allman Brothers.

Organizers say the goal is to offer “church like you’ve never experienced it,” blending familiar music with a message that connects with people in a new way.
The event is family-friendly and open to everyone, regardless of church background or experience. Attendees can expect a casual environment that focuses on connection, music, and community rather than a traditional service format.
This marks the fifth time Christ Episcopal Church has hosted the event, building on previous worship experiences that featured the music of artists like The Beatles and U2.
Those interested can also watch past services online through the church’s YouTube channel.
