The City of Tuscaloosa is working to ensure its residents meet the requirements of its recently passed face mask mandate by planning additional opportunities for residents to obtain free face coverings.

The City held its first free face covering giveaway this (Tuesday, July 7th) morning at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater and distributed over 2,500 face coverings to over 500 different families. Following the success of this event, the City of Tuscaloosa has now planned two other giveaways:

  • Wednesday, July 8th: 7 a.m. until 10 a.m. at 3200 Greensboro Avenue (the future home of Tuscaloosa Fire Rescue Station #5)
  • Thursday, July 9th: 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Alberta School of the Performing Arts

The City of Tuscaloosa will host additional giveaways based on supply availability. For additional information on Tuscaloosa's mask mandate, click HERE.
