"WE WANT A POSITIVE WORKING RELATIONSHIP"

Those are the words of Tuscaloosa Mayor Walt Maddox, this morning on the Steve & DC Show on WFFN-FM (95.3 THE BEAR), in regard to the much-debated alcohol sales at Alabama athletic events.

The mayor also said "We're not going to back down."

University of Alabama Athletics Director Greg Byrne issued a statement, yesterday afternoon, after the University announced they were suspending a plan to sell alcohol at events at Coleman Coliseum.

Alcohol sales, for the moment, on hold at Coleman Coliseum.
