Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury have verbally agreed on a fight date of July 24 to hash out their trilogy. The two heavyweight giants agree to a date just days after the Bronze Bomber won a court decision affirming his right to a third fight with the Gypsy King.

The two fighters will square off in Las Vegas on July 24, ESPN's Mark Kriegel reports that an alternate date of Aug. 14 could still be in consideration as well. Additionally Kriegel reports that the fight purse would be split 60-40 in favor of Fury after the Gypsy King knocked out Wilder in their second fight.

Wilder and Fury fought to a draw in their first fight and Fury knocked out Wilder in the seventh round to win the WBC Heavyweight Title. Neither fighter has been in the ring since their February 2020 contest.

Speculation was that Fury was trying to fight fellow heavyweight champion (WBA, IBF, WBO, IBO) Anthony Joshua in Saudi Arabia but those plans will have to wait as a judge ruled in Wilder's favor that the pandemic interrupted his opportunity at a rematch.

The plan is for Fury and Joshua to square off if they both win their next fight to unify the heavyweight championships. A Wilder victory could spoil these plans and earn the Tuscaloosa-native an even larger payday at the end of the year with Joshua.
