Do You Know About Tuscaloosa’s Most Underrated Restaurant?
Tuscaloosa has plenty of great places to eat, but there's one amazing restaurant that's flying under the radar.
Heck-- some of y'all haven't even heard of it. If you ask me, Tuscaloosa's most underrated restaurant is Ichiban Japanese Grill.
You'll find Ichiban in the little shopping center off 15th Street that used to house Bama Lanes. It's right next door to Sitar Indian Restaurant, and it is AMAZING.
Ichiban Japanese Grill is serving sushi, hibachi, fried rice, tempura, salads, soups, and more. The food is delicious, and the prices are ridiculously low. You can get these bento boxes that come with rice, meat, sauce, salad, and crab rangoons for like $8. JUST LOOK AT IT.
THEIR. FOOD. IS. SO. GOOD. Ask for the Japanese Vingarette on your salad. There is literally nothing like it anywhere in Tuscaloosa; it's this sweet and savory blend of seasoned rice vinegar, sesame oil, and fresh black pepper. I am obsessed.
Ichiban's sushi is great, too. AND IT IS SO CHEAP. You can literally eat until you hate yourself and spend less than $25. They're constantly adding new items to the menu, like fresh ramen (which I am dying to try).
And when you check out, they have this little basket of coffee candy for customers. You're supposed to only take one, but I end up taking two. It's insanely delicious.
If you've never eaten at Ichiban Japanese Grill and Sushi, you have GOT to check it out. I love this little restaurant, and you'll love it, too!
