Dream Big Charter School Expanding Into Athletics
Students at I Dream Big Charter School could soon be hitting the court, field and sidelines as the school officially prepares to launch its new athletic program.
School leaders recently announced that Dreamers will have the opportunity to compete in school athletics beginning next school year. As part of the rollout, the school is now asking families to complete a Sports Interest Survey to help determine which sports students are most interested in participating in.
According to information released through the survey, students can currently show interest in volleyball, girls basketball, girls flag football, boys tackle football and cheer.
The school says summer tryouts are expected to take place ahead of the upcoming school year, and students interested in participating should have a completed physical before tryouts begin. Physical forms can reportedly be found on the school’s website.
Parents and guardians are also being asked to provide student grade levels, emergency contact information, previous playing experience and academic performance details as part of the interest process.

The launch of athletics marks a major milestone for the growing charter school as it expands opportunities for students beyond the classroom. School leaders say they want families to complete the survey so each student’s voice can help shape the future of the athletic program.
The school’s message to students and families is simple: “Dream Big. Play Hard. Achieve Together.”
Families interested in completing the Sports Interest Survey can find the form online through the school’s official channels.
