T-Mobile Offering Free Internet to Eligible Students

As students prepare to head back to school, T-Mobile is reminding families about a program that provides free internet access to eligible K-12 students.

Through Project 10Million, eligible households can receive a free mobile hotspot and 200GB of high-speed internet each year for five years at no cost. The program is designed to help close the homework gap by ensuring students have reliable internet access for schoolwork and online learning.

According to T-Mobile, more than 6.3 million students have already been connected through Project 10Million and related programs since the initiative launched in 2020. The company says its goal is to connect 10 million students nationwide with internet access.

Students may qualify if they participate in the National School Lunch Program or other eligible government assistance programs, including SNAP or Medicaid. The program does not require annual recertification, and there are no monthly fees for eligible families. Parents and guardians can apply directly through T-Mobile, while schools and school districts can also participate by enrolling eligible students.
