Everyone has their favorite season; mine is fall. There is just something about the time between summer and winter that I love. Maybe because it is not too hot and there is no ice on the road.  Seriously, it’s the beautiful colors of autumn that make the season so attractive. Growing up in Florida, I did not get to experience the various seasons. Therefore, it is still amazing to me that the leave transition into golds, vibrant reds, deep oranges, and other incredible colors.

The shift in temperatures is another reason to get excited about the fall season.  Alabama will get a fall weather preview starting Tuesday. The meteorological fall began on September 1st, while the astronomical fall started on September 22nd.

Fall Weather Preview

On Tuesday, we should expect cooler temperatures along with drier air. Also, for the rest of the week, we should have enjoyable days and cool nights. The highs should be in the 70’s and in the mornings, we could see temperatures between 48 and 55 degrees. It appears that the central and eastern United States could below-average temperatures. Also, there is a possibility that some areas could see some scattered frost, mainly in Northern Alabama. Our good friend, James Spann from ABC 33/40, tweeted that an “upper air pattern continues to favor anomalously cool air moving into the Deep South in early October.”
