Former Alabama Forward Joining Defending NBA Champions
Former Alabama Crimson Tide and longtime NBA forward JaMychal Green has had an adventurous offseason. Green was traded from the Denver Nuggets to the Oklahoma City Thunder in June, but the Thunder clearly didn't value the Montgomery product while they are rebuilding.
According to NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski the Alabama product is buying out his contract with the Thunder and will sign a free agent contract with the Golden State Warriors.
Green is an eight-year NBA veteran and has played for four different NBA franchises. He's coming off a strong season with the Denver Nuggets in which he set a career high in 3-point percentage with 48%.
He's carved out a great reputation as an excellent teammate and a quality role-player in the NBA over the course of his career.
"JaMychal is a guy that I would like to play with him for the rest of my life. He's amazing," said two-time NBA MVP Nikola Jokic. "Whatever he does, he's aggressive, he's attacking the ball, he's shooting the ball. When he makes mistakes, I don't have anything to say to him because he'll get it back. He's a great player."

Green will have an opportunity to help the Warriors win back-to-back championships and continue its dynasty. He provides size as a forward and gives head coach Steve Kerr a versatile option to use when scheming against opponents.
The 32-year old will replace Otto Porter and Gary Payton Jr. at a considerable discount, allowing the Warriors to keep its core of Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green together for another championship run.
