Update: 5/12 - 6:00 p.m.

Sherrif Tyler Brown held a news conference on Thursday afternoon to discuss the details of Jerry Jeudy's arrest.

Jeudy was arrested on charges of 2nd degree criminal tampering along with a domestic violence enhancer.

Brown detailed that a woman called 911 around 10:15 a.m. stating Jeudy was controlling her property. The woman involved has a 1-month-old child with the former Alabama star.

According to the arrest affidavit the woman stated, "things got crazy" between her and Jeudy and that the Denver Bronco "put her wallet and medical paperwork for their child in his car and would not let her get access to it."

Brown made it clear that there was no physical contact between Jeudy and the woman and that the dispute "solely involved property."

Jeudy is being held in custody until he appears before a judge, a standard practice in domestic violence cases. Jeudy is scheduled to appear in court at 8:30 a.m. on Friday morning. A temporary protection order will go into place as well on Friday.

The woman involved told police she was trying to leave Jeudy and return to Virginia but as unable to because the wide receiver had taken the car seat, her wallet and their child's medical paperwork.

Additionally, the woman told investigators that "she does not want him to get in 'trouble,' she just wants her items back so she can leave."

Jeudy told deputies that he did take the woman's wallet and items for the baby and locked them in the car. He told officers he did this because "she took one of his three phones and would not give it back."

Update: 5/12 -  3:30 p.m.

The Arapahoe County Sherrif's Office has announced that Jerry Jeudy has been charged with 2nd degree criminal tampering along with a domestic violence enhancer. The charge is a misdemeanor but he is being kept on a no bond hold.

Andrew Mason of Mile High Sports gives the definition of second-degree criminal tampering as tampering "with property of another with intent to cause injury, incovenience, or annoyance to that person or to another or if he knowingly makes an unauthorized connection with property of a utility."

Jeudy's charges are classified as a misdemeanor, however the "domestic violence enhancer" complicates the situation.

According to the Arapahoe County, Colorado Sheriff's Office, former Alabama Crimson Tide wide receiver, and current Denver Bronco Jerry Jeudy has been arrested.

Jeudy was taken into custody between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. and is currently awaiting booking in the Arapahoe County Jail, according to a spokesperson in the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Department.
