Former Alabama wide receiver Gehrig Dieter has made it official that he will be making his future plans to stay with Kansas City Chiefs. This will be Gehrig sixth season with the NFL team. Looking back to when he first started with the team back in 2017 as an undrafted rookie.

Dieter's NFL career has mostly been spent as a practice-squad member, even going into the 2021 season as well. While he has been playing for the Chiefs he has played in 10 regular season games including three playoff contests with the Chiefs as well. The reserve/future contract is a chance for Dieter to gain another spot on the team so once he's signed to play with the Chiefs for a new season he is allowed to participate and continue offseason workouts, and minicamps.

Although this year the Chiefs fell short from the Super Bowl, Dieter remains one of Alabama's best NFL options for post season success.  Until next fall, Gehrig Dieter will be working hard for the new upcoming season with the Chiefs.
