The Squadron, housed in Legacy Arena, are the G League affiliate of the New Orleans Pelicans. Claybrook previously served as the general manager of business operations for the Squadron.

The Luverne, Ala. native was a four-year letter winner for the Crimson Tide, leading Alabama to two NCAA Tournaments. Before joining the Crimson Tide, Claybrook was named Miss Basketball for the state of Alabama in 1989.

Before joining the Squadron, Claybrook coached at Troy and Mercer, worked in administration for college athletics, and saw time as an assistant commissioner for the Southeastern Conference.

Claybrook was also highlighted by the Southeastern Conference in 2014 in a SEC 40/40 project titled "Claybrook's Path." In this project, Claybrook opened up about her time as a student-athlete, her career path up to that point, and many other topics.

Claybrook isn’t the only one with Alabama ties associated to the Squadron. Former Alabama men’s basketball standout John Petty played in thirteen games for the Squadron this past season averaging 7.8 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.7 assists.

The Squadron finished the 2021-2022 season with an overall record of 18-15, falling to the Texas Legends in the NBA G League Western Conference Quarterfinals.
