Free Community Meal Planned Tonight in Tuscaloosa

Anyone in need of a hot meal is invited to stop by a free community meal event taking place tonight in Tuscaloosa.

According to a post on Facebook, beginning at 4:30 p.m., a food truck will be set up at Royal Fine Cleaners, located across from Innisfree on University Boulevard.

Organizers will serve free loaded chicken baked potatoes while supplies last, with approximately 45 meals available. Free hot dogs will also be available for children.

The event is open to anyone who could use a meal, and organizers emphasize there is no cost and no questions asked.

While the meals are free, community members who are able are invited to make a donation. Organizers say every dollar contributed will go directly toward funding future free community meal events to help serve even more families.

Because food is limited, meals will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Organizers ask that attendees not request reservations or holds.

Community members are also encouraged to share the event with anyone who may benefit from a warm meal.
