Free Women’s Health Wellness Checks Offered in Tuscaloosa

Women in the Tuscaloosa area will have an opportunity to receive a free health and wellness check later this month through a special event at WAWC Healthcare.

The organization will offer free Women’s Health Wellness Checks with Dr. Keri Q. Chaney on Wednesday, Sept. 30, from 8:30 a.m. until noon at WAWC Healthcare, located at 3073 Palisades Court in Tuscaloosa.

Organizers say the appointments will focus on several areas of women’s health, including reproductive health, maternal health and mental and emotional wellness.

The wellness checks are open to all women and are being offered at no cost. However, availability is extremely limited, with only 10 appointment slots available for the event. Women interested in participating are encouraged to register in advance to secure one of the available appointments.

In addition to the health and wellness services offered during the appointment, each participant will receive a wellness bag at the conclusion of her visit.

The event is part of WAWC Healthcare’s effort to provide women with an opportunity to focus on multiple areas of their overall well-being in one setting. By including reproductive and maternal health alongside mental and emotional wellness, the wellness checks will address health topics that can affect women at different stages of their lives.\

The organization is promoting the event with the message, “Your health. Your voice. Your wellness.”

Appointments will take place throughout the morning on Sept. 30, beginning at 8:30 a.m. and concluding at noon.

Because the event is limited to just 10 participants, registration is required. WAWC Healthcare has provided an online registration form for women interested in reserving an appointment.

All women are welcome to participate, regardless of whether they are currently pregnant or seeking maternal health services.

The free wellness checks will be held at WAWC Healthcare, 3073 Palisades Court, Tuscaloosa, AL 35405.
