George Zimmerman Sues Trayvon Martin’s Family for $100 Million

George Zimmerman is widely known for being on trial for the fatal shooting of Trayvon Martin in Sanford, Florida back in 2013. Zimmerman was acquitted of all charges. Now, according to the Washington Post, Zimmerman filed a lawsuit against the Martin family, a publishing firm and a law enforcement agency all for defamation and “malicious prosecution." 

Trayvon Martin's family attorney Ben Crump caught wind of George Zimmerman's lawsuit and has already posted his response on social media.

It's safe to say that this case made George Zimmerman a household name. Mostly not in a good sense either, and with his name resurfacing again people aren't holding back their thoughts on the new lawsuit.

When the news broke I thought it was a typo or a joke, but it's really true. I just don't see how you can seemingly get away with murder and go to sue the family of the child you killed! I'd love to hear your thoughts on this situation. Let me know what you think on Zimmerman's lawsuit.
