Gucci Mane, NLE Choppa, Cam’ron and More: New Projects This Week
Several anticipated projects premiered over the course of the last seven days. Look below to check out all of the freshly released albums, mixtapes and EPs of the week.
The third time might be the charm for Gucci Mane, who just dropped East Atlanta Santa 3 —his third project of 2019. The latest installment of the fashion forward rapper's East Atlanta Santa series features season-themed song titles such as “12 Days of Christmas,” “Jingle Bales Intro” and “Snow,” as well as collaborations with Asian Doll, Jason Derulo, Rich The Kid and Quavo. The bulk of the production found on the 16-song project is provided by the likes of Metro Boomin, Zaytoven, Murda Beatz and J. White Did It, who produced seven tracks.
Coming straight out of Memphis, NLE Choppa reps for his hood with Cottonwood. At 17-years-old, the United Masters artist has racked up million and millions of streams and views for songs like “Famous Hoes,” “Forever” and “Shotta Flow.” Choppa’s breakthrough single, “Shotta Flow,” which has almost 115 million views on YouTube, appears on his new nine-song EP, along with the Blueface-assisted remix and the recently released single “Side.”
A year after Dipset finally delivered their long overdue reunion album, Diplomatic Ties, Cam’ron returns with Purple Haze 2 —his first solo release since 2017. The 16-track sequel to Killa’s 2004 cult classic features tracks like “Losin' Weight 3” the single “Believe in Flee” and collaborations with Wale, Jim Jones and Max B, who appears on both “This Is My City” and “Keep Rising.”
