"The lady called me and said have you head about the naked guy that's running around on Skyland Boulevard? I tried to get more information about it," Allen said.

Captain Ray said the man was completely naked and was first seen in front of Family Dollar.

"He then ran all the way across Skyland and went up behind Dirt Cheap," Allen said. "He could have ended up in the lumber yard or the cemetery that's over there."

Traffic spotters said the suspect was a white man who was fully unclothed.

This is the second time in less than two weeks that a naked man has been spotted on Skyland Boulevard; Tuscaloosa Police detained a man who was seen "partially clothed" in front of the old Books-A-Million within the abandoned McFarland Mall property.

A Heat Advisory remains in effect until 9 p.m. tonight.

LOOK: Here are the best lake towns to live in

Many of the included towns jump out at the casual observer as popular summer-rental spots--the Ozarks' Branson, Missouri, or Arizona's Lake Havasu--it might surprise you to dive deeper into some quality-of-life offerings beyond the beach and vacation homes. You'll likely pick up some knowledge from a wide range of Americana: one of the last remaining 1950s-style drive-ins in the Midwest; a Florida town that started as a Civil War veteran retirement area; an island boasting some of the country's top public schools and wealth-earners right in the middle of a lake between Seattle and Bellevue; and even a California town containing much more than Johnny Cash's prison blues.
