According to The Hollywood Reporter, Issa Rae will be reimagining the epic 90's classic "Set It Off."

Originally starring Queen Latifah, Kimberly Elise, Vivica A. Fox, and Jada Pinkett Smith, "Set It Off" was a story about 4 women, tired of working low wage jobs and violence within the childcare system, who came together to commit a series of bank robberies. They had success at first, but their crime spree came with horrible consequences.

Insecure creator and star Issa Rae is set to produce and possible star in the remake. Along with Issa, Montrel Mckay will also produce the project.

Rae was widely known for her  web series Awkward Black Girl, before working with HBO show and creating "Insecure" which was just renewed for it's fourth season with the network!

Not only is Issa killing the television scene, in 2019 she starred in the box office hit "Little," with Regina Hall, and Marsai Martin, which grossed 48 million at the box office!
