On Monday, September 16th, 247's Christian Clemente reported that Alabama's five-star wide receiver commit, Caleb Cunningham, would be on the plains this weekend to witness Auburn play their first conference game of the season at home against Arkansas.

Caleb Cunningham committed to the Crimson Tide on July 13th. Auburn was formerly a leader in Cunningham's recruiting soon before he committed to the Crimson Tide, with Cunningham planning a trip to Auburn's big cat weekend before canceling due to his decision to sign with the Crimson Tide.

Hugh Freeze and his team have been tireless in their recruiting efforts, and the Tigers' recruiting class now ranks fifth in the On3 Industry Football Team Recruiting Rankings. Auburn is hoping to take another top wide receiver prospect from the Tide after acquiring top 2024 wide receiver prospect Perry Thompson from Alabama during the previous recruiting cycle.

The Choctaw County (Choctaw County, M.S.) Wide Receiver shows no signs of flipping, with Cunningham stating on social media that there was no chance of him flipping when rumors were swirling back in late July after Cunningham's commitment to the Tide that the 6 foot 1, 190-pound five-star receiver would flip his commitment to the Tigers.

Alabama remains the clear frontrunner in this recruitment, with the On3 Recruiting Prediction Meter (RPM) giving the Tide a 73.6% chance of signing Mississippi's top high school prospect, while the Auburn Tigers currently have a 2.5% chance of landing the class of 2025 five-star wide receiver.

Alabama will have a bye next week before facing the Georgia Bulldogs at home on Saturday, September 28th, which will be a big night for the Tide's recruiting with many highly ranked 2025 and 2026 prospects in attendance. Cunningham has yet to clarify whether he will attend this game.

Alabama still looks great with Caleb Cunningham's commitment, but the Tigers and Hugh Freeze are still in the hunt and will face the Arkansas Razorbacks at home on Saturday with their new quarterback, redshirt freshman Hank Brown. If the Tigers put on a great offensive performance, they might be able to sell Caleb Cunningham on the future of Auburn football.
