The coaching carousel continues. Alabama's special teams and outside linebacker coach Coleman Hutzler previously took the defensive coordinator job for Mississippi State. Hutzler remained with the Crimson Tide during their Rose Bowl preparation the week after Christmas.

Now, Alabama will be searching for a new wide receivers coach as Holmon Wiggins is being hired by Texas A&M as co-offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach.

Wiggins, who had been with the Crimson Tide since 2019, coached several Alabama products, including DeVonta Smith during his Heisman season in 2020, Jameson Williams and John Metchie III in 2021, and Jermaine Burton.

Wiggins has been the assistant head coach for offense since 2021. He's been a recruiting ace for Coach Saban and the Crimson Tide, with commitments from Julian Sayin, Ryan Williams, Jalen Hale, and Ja'Corey Brooks during his time with the Crimson Tide.

Coaching turnover is nothing new for Coach Saban and the Crimson Tide. However, Wiggins was the primary recruiter for current Alabama commit and 2022 Mr. Football in the state of Alabama, Ryan Williams.

With Williams's recruitment seemingly coming down to the home stretch, losing a primary recruiter and his future position coach is less than ideal for the Crimson Tide faithful.
