TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Rob Vaugn & Co. continues to make transfer portal moves, picking up a commitment from former South Alabama infielder Brennan Holt. Holt is the fourth transfer to commit to Alabama this offseason.

Holt also made stops at LSU and Oklahoma State before landing in Mobile the past two seasons. Holt brings one more season of eligibility to Tuscaloosa.

The Baton Rouge, La., native made his commitment official on Twitter, writing, "Last ride! #RollTide"

Holt hit .303 during his 2025 campaign with South Alabama, adding 14 doubles, six home runs, and 31 RBIs. The infielder also added 37 walks while stealing 10 bases.

In South Alabama's March 18 matchup against Alabama, Holt went one for five with a two-RBI double as the Jaguars fell 6-5 in extra innings.

Holt will replace former Alabama second basemen Brennen Norton and Garrett Staton, who split time at the position in 2025. Both of whom ran out of eligibility following the end of the season.

Holt is the fourth portal addition for the Crimson Tide, joining Matthew Tippie (Texas State), Kaden Humphrey (North Florida), and Justin Osterhouse (Purdue Fort-Wayne)
