Fisher worked with Louisville for the past two seasons, helping with both the offensive line and the tight end room, indicating his focus is on blocking in both the run and pass game. Louisville's offense rushed for 2,407 yards in 2024, averaging 5.7 yards per carry, with a slight regression in 2025 to 2,131 yards and 5.1 yards per carry. During his time at Louisville, Fisher worked with then Cardinals offensive line coach Richard Owens, who is now Alabama's tight ends coach.

Fisher is a former offensive lineman with the South Alabama Jaguars, starting 13 games with 12 starts at right tackle in 2017 and 12 starts at left tackle in 2017. He transferred to Tulane as a graduate student in 2018. He began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at Louisville two years ago. While Fisher was at South Alabama, current Alabama defensive coordinator Kane Wommack served as the defensive coordinator there in 2016 and 2017.

Alabama's tight end room features top young talent in Kaleb Edwards and Marshall Pritchett, who both are entering their second season with the Crimson Tide. Alabama also added Oklahoma State transfer Josh Ford in the offseason.
