The Alabama Crimson Tide 2023 offseason is already in full swing, despite the Tide preparing to play in a Sugar Bowl at the end of the month. Alabama's roster management includes transfer portal players, coming ang going, and a stellar 2023 recruiting class.

The Alabama Crimson Tide unfortunately saw its 14th player enter the transfer portal on Monday evening as former 4-star freshman wide receiver Aaron Anderson has gone into the portal, according to Matt Zenitz of On3 Sports.

Anderson becomes the fifth wide receiver to enter the portal and he becomes the first member of the class of 2022 to hit the portal. He was considered the Tide's best receiver in the class by 247Sports, however he was outshined by his classmates throughout 2022.

The 5-foot-9 freshman out of Louisiana enrolled early this past spring and made his way through spring practice. He got multiple opportunities in the 2022 A Day Game with 11 yards on two receptions on six targets. Unfortunately, a knee-injury derailed his summer and subsequently his fall, putting him down the pecking order with the rest of the receivers.

He ultimately played in just one game for the Tide, playing in the November matchup against the Austin Peay Governors.

Alabama is set to open up Sugar Bowl practice soon. The Tide plays Kansas State on Saturday, Dec. 31 at 11 a.m. CT.
