Alabama Schedules Rocket City Exhibition
Alabama men's basketball has one of the most talented rosters in the country. The Crimson Tide could be ranked as the No. 1 team in the country when the season begins in November. Alabama has national championship hopes for the 2024-2025 season, coming fresh from the program's first Final Four appearance in April 2024.
Championship teams are battle-tested, and Alabama's head coach, Nate Oats, is known for a strong non-conference schedule. According to Hitmen Hoops of Tiger Blueprint, oats and the Tide will test their metal again before the season begins with an exhibition game against the Memphis Tigers.
The exhibition game will take place at Propst Arena in Huntsville, Alabama on October 28.
Tickets can be purchased online beginning on Friday, August 23. The "Rocket City Classic" is similar to what Alabama played against Wake Forest last season.
The Crimson Tide's non-conference schedule features several top teams, with games against Purdue, Illinois, and Houston, among others. While the game against Memphis will not count toward the W/L record, Alabama will be tested.
Alabama is 3-4 all-time against the University of Memphis, with the most recent game being a 91-88 win over the Tigers in Coleman Coliseum in December 2022.
