College Gameday Announces Trip to Tuscaloosa
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Alabama Crimson Tide is no stranger to hosting ESPN's College Gameday, with the Crimson Tide playing host to the Saturday college football preview show ahead of Saturday's matchup against the No. 16 Vanderbilt Commodores.

It will be the 61st time that Alabama has appeared on College Gameday, with the Crimson Tide making two appearances last season. The Gameday crew of Rece Davis, Desmond Howard, Nick Saban, Kirk Herbstreit, and Pat McAfee (with Lee Corso, who is now retired) came to Tuscaloosa in week five last season when Alabama defeated Georgia 41-34. They also went to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where Alabama dismantled the LSU Tigers 42-13 last season.
It will be the 32nd time Alabama has hosted College Gameday, with the Crimson Tide having a 20-12 record when the preview show is in town. In the 62 appearances Alabama has made on College Gameday, the Crimson Tide has a 39-21 overall record.
The Vanderbilt Commodores will make their first appearance on Gameday since 2008 as they arrive in Tuscaloosa 5-0 on the season. Alabama will come in with a 3-1 record after defeating the Georgia Bulldogs 24-21 in Athens, Georgia, on Saturday.
Nick Saban was the only member of the Gameday crew to pick Alabama to defeat Georgia last week, with Desmond Howard, guest picker LaVar Arrington, and Pat McAfee picking the Georgia Bulldogs.
