Ekiyor Jr. spent five seasons (2018 to 2022) with the Crimson Tide under Nick Saban, the Indiana native made 40 starts, primarily at guard. He played a key role in supporting an offensive line that achieved the top scoring offense in 2020 and contributed significantly in the subsequent two seasons. In his final year with the Crimson Tide, Ekiyor Jr. recorded 31 knockdown blocks, showcasing his strength and effectiveness on the field.

Following his college career, he declared for the 2023 National Football League Draft but went undrafted. He subsequently signed with the Indianapolis Colts, the NFL team from his hometown, but was released after a little more than three months due to changes in the roster.

Following his departure from the Colts, Ekiyor transitioned into a role as a life and health insurance agent. He also made significant contributions to the community by establishing The Chase, an organization dedicated to empowering youth and young professionals in the U.S. and Sub-Saharan Africa. The origination focuses on creating coaching and mentoring programs that promote a success-oriented mindset, the development of positive habits, and financial literacy.

He is now embarking on a coaching career, notably with Key, who had previously recruited him to Alabama. Interestingly, when Ekiyor Jr. joined the Crimson Tide, Key had already left for Georgia Tech.

Ekiyor Jr. is among several former Alabama players transitioning into coaching.
