TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Alabama Crimson Tide flexed its size and physicality on Saturday against Eastern Illinois, running the ball effectively with 269 yards on 49 carries, with eight rushing touchdowns against the Panthers. It's the most rushing touchdowns Alabama has had in one game since 1979 against Vanderbilt.

The Tide's leading rusher on Senior Day was senior running back Jam Miller, who carried the ball just 11 times for 62 yards and a touchdown. In addition to Miller, AK Dear (x2), Kevin Riley (x2), Austin Mack, Daniel Hill, and Richard Young all had rushing touchdowns on the day.
The quarterback play wasn't what Alabama wanted, with Ty Simpson leading the way with 147 yards, but two interceptions on the day. Keelon Russell was the second leading passer with 78 yards, while Austin Mack had 45 yards through the air.
Kane Wommack and Alabama's defense allowed just 34 total yards to the Panthers, with 20 passing yards and 14 rushing yards. Alabama's defense had three sacks, nine tackles for loss, and forced two turnovers, including a blocked punt by Keon Keeley, against Eastern Illinois.
