TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Alabama men's basketball team completed history on Saturday, with Nate Oats and the Crimson Tide completing its fourth-straight win over the Kentucky Wildcats in an 89-74 ballgame that saw a season-high performance from seven-foot forward Noah Williamson and Aden Holloway shooting 75% from three-point range.

The Tide outshot the Wildcats 31-25 from the floor and 15-4 from three-point range. Alabama's defensive play kept the Wildcats under 10 assists (Kentucky had nine), and collected more boards (41-37).

 

Holloway led the Tide with 26 points on Saturday afternoon, and Labaron Philon woke up in the second half to finish as the Tide's second-leading scorer with 17 points. Williams also had a season-high 10 points, which he paired with four rebounds and two assists in the 15-point victory.

Alabama men's basketball improves to 11-3 on the young season, and starts SEC play 1-0 after the win over Kentucky. Alabama's next game will come on Wednesday, January 7, when the Tide travels to Nashville, Tennessee, to take on the Vanderbilt Commodores.
