GALLERY: Alabama Wins Another Classic Against Georgia

ATHENS, Ga. - The Alabama Crimson Tide did it again. Alabama was an underdog, walking into Athens, Georgia, to take on Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs, who looked to defend a 33-game win streak at home, dating back to 2019. Alabama looked ugly on the road in week one, while Georgia was undefeated after an overtime win over Tennessee two weeks prior.

Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson was surgical in the first half, accumulating three total touchdowns as Alabama took a 24-14 lead into the break. Georgia would score to make it interesting in the third quarter, but Alabama's defense rose to the occasion with a fourth-quarter shutout as Alabama snapped Georgia's 33-game win streak at home.

Simpson ended the game with three total touchdowns (two passing, one rushing) and 290 total yards, including the final pass to Jam Miller to seal the win for Alabama.

Alabama improves to 3-1 on the season after upsetting No. 5 Georgia in Athens. The Crimson Tide will return home to take on the Vanderbilt Commodores on Saturday, October 4, at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
