In 2024, Alabama fell to Vanderbilt, Tennessee, and Oklahoma on the road. In 2025, the Crimson Tide defeated the Commodores on October 4, 30-14, and defeated the Volunteers in the annual cigar game, 37-20, on October 18.

Kickoff between the Crimson Tide and the Sooners, inside Bryant-Denny Stadium, has been scheduled for 2:30 p.m. CT. The Crimson Tide is 4-0 at home inside Bryant-Denny Stadium this season, with a 1-0 record in games that kick off at 2:30 at home this season (a 30-14 win over Vanderbilt).

Last season, Alabama traveled to Norman, Oklahoma, for its final road test of the 2024 season, with College Football Playoff and SEC championship hopes on the line. For 60 minutes, the Tide was dominated along both lines of scrimmage and only mustered a first-quarter field goal in its third road loss of the season, losing to Oklahoma 24-3, as Sooner fans stormed the field (Alabama's third field storming after a loss last season).
