Moore issued a statement on Monday, apologizing for his actions following the Crimson Tide's 40-35 loss to the Commodores.

Following Moore's statement, Alabama's coaches were asked about Moore's outburst and emotion. "What he did, he has gone above and beyond in owning. Pretty much immediately after the game to this morning," head coach Kalen DeBoer said.  "This guy has been rock solid and been a critical piece, along with others, of keeping this thing together since January. We've handled it internally, and are still handling it internally. He's a first-class guy."

"I'm not sure anybody cares more about Alabama football than Malachi [Moore]," defensive coordinator Kane Wommack said. "He has been held accountable for the actions at the end of the game. I think Malachi's handled it really well with our teammates. We are working to continue to make sure we address well across the board."

When asked point blank about a suspension for Moore against South Carolina, head coach Kalen DeBoer said, "No."

Alabama takes on South Carolina in Bryant-Denny Stadium in the next game for the Crimson Tide on Saturday, October 12, at 11:00 a.m.
