Nate Oats on Holloway: “It’ll Be A Good Game For Him”
Tuscaloosa, Ala. - Aden Holloway will face his former team for the first since transferring to Alabama, with the Crimson Tide slated to take on the Auburn Tigers in Coleman Coliseum on Saturday, February 15, at 3:00 p.m.

Holloway has already experienced victory in the Iron Bowl of Basketball, with the Tigers defeating Alabama last season in Neville Arena. After Auburn's defeat by Yale in the Round of 64 in the NCAA Tournament, Holloway entered the transfer portal, committing to Alabama in April 2024.
Holloway has now played in two extremely different systems, making just 52 three-point shots during the entirety of the 2023-2024 season. So far at Alabama, Holloway has made 56 with at least nine games left in the Crimson Tide's season.
On Thursday, Auburn head coach Bruce Pearl said Holloway still has good friends on the Tigers roster. On Friday, Alabama head coach Nate Oats talked about Holloway's time at Auburn.
"Obviously he's familiar with their system, their team," Oats said on Friday. "He had some really good games here."
In SEC play this season, Holloway is shooting 50% from three-point range while scoring 13.5 points per game. Oats spoke on Holloway's development as he is now in his sophomore season, this time, with the Crimson Tide.
"He's a year older here, you know, he's gotten comfortable in our system," Oats said. "He's playing well in it. It'll be a good game for him."
