BATON ROUGE, La. - Legendary football coach Nick Saban has added another prestigious honor to his already decorated career. On Wednesday, it was announced that Saban will be inducted into the 2025 Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame, recognizing his impactful tenure as a head coach of the LSU Tigers.

Saban led the Tigers from 2000 to 2004, compiling an impressive 48-16 overall record and going 28-12 in Southeastern Conference play. His time in Baton Rouge is remembered as one of the most transformative eras in program history. He guided the Tigers to two SEC championships in 2001 and 2003, along with three consecutive SEC West Division titles from 2001 to 2003.

The pinnacle of Saban's career with the Tigers came in 2003, when he led them to a 13-1 record and a National Championship victory over the Oklahoma Sooners in the Sugar Bowl. The title was the Tigers' first since 1958.

The Hall of Fame induction isn't the only recognition Saban is enjoying this week. On Tuesday, it was revealed that he has been nominated for an Emmy Award in the category of "Outstanding Personality/ Emerging On-Air Talent," acknowledging his transition to broadcasting and his continued influence on the game of football.
