Northridge Dominates Paul W. Bryant in 25-Point Win
Northridge dominated Paul W. Bryant on senior night in a dominant 25-point victory, which was led by the arm of the Jaguars' senior quarterback, Mayson Elam, and his three passing touchdowns.

Both teams started this game off slow, with the first points of this matchup not coming until the 2:15 mark in the first quarter, when Elam found Jaguars' senior tight end Adam Hall wide open in the back of the endzone for a 5-yard touchdown pass, making the score 7-0 following the successful PAT.
Northridge was in the end zone again, less than a minute after their first touchdown. Jaguars' senior linebacker Miller Arendale intercepted a pass from Bryant's quarterback and returned it 65 yards for a touchdown, extending Northridge's lead to 14 points with 1:25 remaining in the first quarter.
Both offenses looked stagnant for most of the second quarter until Northridge scored once again with under a minute left in the first half when Elam found his junior wide receiver, Tate Espey, streaking towards the endzone for a 35-yard touchdown pass. This gave the Jaguars a 21-point lead going into halftime.
The second half saw Paul W. Bryant finally get on the scoreboard when the Stampedes' kicker, Diego Marquez Zamora, nailed a 35-yard field goal to make it 21-3 with 4:32 left in the third quarter.
Unfortunately for the Stampede, Northridge responded with a scoring drive that not only produced a touchdown but also lasted over five minutes. The drive was capped off by a seven-yard rushing touchdown from Elam, marking the Jaguars quarterback's third touchdown of the game.
Bryant answered back immediately with their first touchdown of the contest when Junior wide receiver Cedric Bankhead returned a kickoff 70 yards to set up the Stampede inside of the Jaguars' 10-yard line, with Bankhead punching it into the endzone a couple plays later to cut Northridge's lead down to 18 points.
This touchdown had little impact, as the Jaguars scored again before the game's end, with Elam once again connecting with his big tight end, Hall, finalizing the score at 35-10.
Northridge improves to 4-4 on the season and 2-3 in region play, while they will look to knock off region opponent Bessemer City next Friday on the road to try and secure a playoff spot.
Paul W. Bryant remains winless on the season with the Stampede dropping to 0-7 on the season and 0-4 in region play. Bryant's next opportunity for their first win of the season will come next Friday against McAdory at home.
