Barker began her journey at Georgia before transferring to Alabama in 2022. Her first season with the Crimson Tide (2022-23) laid the groundwork for what would become a remarkable legacy. She averaged 6.9 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game, showing flashes of the star she would become. Her highlight during that season came with a season-high 16 points against Ole Miss and a double-double against Texas A&M.

Her breakout came in year two. Barker started all 33 games and averaged 16.8 points, improving her scoring average by 10 points. She reached the 1,000-point milestone in a win over Auburn and dropped a career-high 34 points against Kentucky, a mark that tied for sixth in program history.

Her final season at the Capstone was nothing short of legendary. During the 2024-25 season, Barker led the Crimson Tide with 18.2 points per game, scored 20+ points in 10 contests, and delivered when it mattered most. She became the fifth player in program history to surpass 1,000 points, 500 rebounds, and 250 assists while at Alabama. She also led the team in steals per game (2.0), was named First Team All-SEC for the second consecutive year, and earned national recognition as a Naismith Trophy Midseason Team selection and finalist for the Ann Meyers Drysdale Shooting Guard of the Year Award.

Her most iconic performance came in her final collegiate game, a double-overtime thriller in the NCAA Tournament Round of 32 against Maryland. Barker was fouled attempting a three. With ice in her veins, she calmly sank all three free throws to force a second overtime, ultimately finishing with 45 points, the most scored by any player in the NCAA Tournament since 2016.

Now, Barker is ready to take her talent to the next level. Projected as a first-round pick for the 2025 WNBA Draft, set for Monday, April 14, at 7:30 p.m. ET at the Shed at Hudson Yards in New York City, streaming live on ESPN.
