Alabama is expected to lose its top two cornerbacks from 2023 in Terrion Arnold and Kool-Aid McKinstry. The Crimson Tide are hurting for experience and depth in the secondary.

Alabama won't have to worry about the star position next season as defensive back Malachi Moore is expected to return to the Capstone for his fifth season.

Moore had a strong showing during his freshman season but injuries derailed a strong performance during his sophomore and junior seasons. Moore returned to the starting lineup for his senior season following the departure of Brian Branch and was a staple for the secondary.

Alabama's secondary is projected to be older next season. Trey Amos and Domani Jackson both have starting experience and Caleb Downs, the SEC freshman of the year, now has a full season of starting experience under his belt.

Moore can provide a veteran presence in Alabama's secondary and is a sure tackler, something that head coach Nick Saban has emphasized from his star position.
