TUSCALOOSA, Ala.- After missing five consecutive games due to a lower leg injury, Sarah Ashlee Barker made her return on Sunday against the Vanderbilt Commodores and she has made it look easy in the first half, making the absence of her presence and leadership known.

Barker has been playing very efficiently since the game tipped off, her aggressive play has not gone unnoticed as she has been putting much pressure on the Commodores who are looking to pull off another upset after taking down the Tennessee Volunteers on Jan. 19.

Coming in hot, Barker finished the first quarter with six points, but that was only the beginning for her run as she didn't miss a basket until under seven minutes to play in the second quarter.

The Commodores defense has not been able to stop her as she has been pairing well with Zaay Green for offensive boards. Additionally, Barker has been opening lanes, and getting the ball up the court.

With under fifty seconds to go the Commodores threatened to tie it 30-30 but it was Barker that got the rebound to run down the court and shoot a layup to extend it 32-27 with under five seconds to go she draws the foul for a pair of free throws and adds two more 34-27.

It was the Barker show in the first half after she finished with 19 points, three rebounds, and two assists. Fans could see more of her aggressive play as the third quarter has started.
